About the Finance department

As a Financial Administrator in Accounts Payable, you will be part of the Finance department, which is divided into four teams: Business Control, Financial Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable (AP). This role is within the AP team, which oversees the company's accounting (i.e. bookkeeping) and (consolidated) internal and external (tax) reporting. The team currently consists of a Team Lead Accounts Payable, a Financial Administrator AP, and two interim Financial Administrators AP. In this position, you will report to the Team Lead Accounts Payable.

Your role as Financial Administrator Accounts Payable

As a Financial Administrator Accounts Payable, you ensure accurate and timely processing of all incoming invoices and expenses for all entities. You act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing supplier and business inquiries and follow-ups. Additionally, you assist with month-end close activities, operational cost invoices, and purchase orders. Depending on experience, you may take on additional responsibilities, including acting as a backup for the Team Lead Accounts Payable and supporting the ExFlow module, identifying improvements, and contributing to financial control tasks like pre-payments and accruals. This role offers opportunities for both junior and medior level professionals to grow and contribute within the finance team.

Regular activities

  • Ensure all aspects of the AP process are carried out efficiently, including invoice receipt, validation, and approval tracking.
  • Review and accurately process invoices, ensuring correct coding, approval, and timely payment.
  • Act as the point of contact for both internal teams and external suppliers, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and managing communication.
  • Proactively engage with departments to track invoice approvals, resolve discrepancies, and ensure smooth workflow completion.
  • Identify discrepancies in invoice processing, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with team members to correct errors efficiently.

We ask

  • Vocational or Bachelor’s degree (Finance related) and 0 - 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in an international organization
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365; experience with ExFlow module is a plus
  • Experience with data entry, processing and reviewing
  • Excellent communications skills in English, both verbally and written. Dutch is a plus
  • Proficient in using Office 356, especially Excel
