Job Description

As an Automation Engineer (PEI/PEII) within the MSAT OAT Team you will participate in functional design, development, implementation and support of business automation systems, and act as a liaison with business partners to understand and align requirements and business processes with OAT services.

Department

You will be part of the Operational Automation Technology Team within the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MS&T) department which we would like to strengthen and therefore, you can help shape our organization further going forward with your personal experience and motivation. You will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Operational Automation Technology and based in Hoofddorp (near Amsterdam), The Netherlands.

Responsibilities

  • Supports GMP manufacturing systems such as MES, OSI-PI, Manufacturing Equipment, Process Automation & Data analytics at Kite TCF04 and serves as liaison with Kite Global OAT.
  • Leads application issue resolution and identified level 3 and 4 responsibilities such as master data change management and system interface troubleshooting.
  • Manages documents/diagrams functional process flows to ensure optimization and synchronization of systems, including identifying/advising on the best applications for specific business processes, including cloud-based systems.
  • Facilitates use case/story boarding for new systems/software or enhancements related to manufacturing systems and advocates for paperless digital 4.0 solutions.
  • Leads and coordinates the successful rollout of system changes not limited to communication, training, support, documentation with the ability to leverage skills in project management.
  • Develops, revises and reviews departmental SOPs, qualification/validation protocols and reports with ongoing awareness to changes in business or regulatory.
  • Demonstrated initiative, good planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, commitment to task completion and timelines.
  • Aptitude for system design and architecture including data interfacing.
  • Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in cross functional teams.
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work harmoniously and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering or Science/Engineering related fields preferred. Applicants with equivalent work experience in Manufacturing / GMP systems will also be considered and are urged to apply.

Additional Requirements

  • Ideal candidates would have an aptitude and passion for computer systems and have experience in MES (ideally PAS-X) and/or Site Data Historian (ideally Aveva OSI-PI) or skills in other Industrial Automation Systems.
  • Experience within GMP environments with Computer System Validation and/or digital validation is preferred also.
  • Role is standard 9-5 working week, on occasion to support system maintenance adjusted working hours/flexibility will be required.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical and manufacturing processes would be beneficial.
  • Seeking candidates with a proactive attitude and high growth potential for future roles
