Dit ga jij doen

To continuously optimize our processes, we are looking for a driven electrical project engineer for our department at Tata Steel in IJmuiden. Your focus will be on the medium to long term, where you will create the conditions under which colleagues in the electrical engineering field can work effectively.

You will work closely with the project manager and maintenance manager, forming a crucial team that ensures the balance between technological innovation, production efficiency, and technical management.

As an electrical project engineer at Tata Steel...

• You will be responsible for determining and implementing the strategic direction of electrical systems and designs. This includes introducing new technologies, optimizing existing systems, and ensuring high quality standards in electrical installations.
• You will be involved in quality control: You will analyze and report on the quality and stability of electrical systems, conduct root-cause analyses for electrical system issues, and implement solutions. You will work closely with your team and other departments.
• You will collaborate frequently: Together with the project manager and maintenance manager, you will develop long-term plans to enhance productivity, improve system reliability, and reduce costs.
• You will participate in innovation and improvement projects: You will lead projects to improve the efficiency, sustainability, and safety of electrical systems, keeping technological progress and practicality in mind.

You will work with a team of electrical engineers, project managers, and maintenance experts. As part of the internal engineering office, you will collaborate closely with various functions, including production, maintenance, planning, and experts from R&D and CoE.
