Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Support development of the ESG Performance Assessment module in Supplier Portal (being developed)
  • Undertake ESG assessment of suppliers based on questionnaire responses/SBM site visits and identify risk
  • Undertake/lead Human Rights audits of high risk suppliers as and when required
  • Custodian of the relationship between CDP and SBM for voluntary annual greenhouse gas emissions disclosures
  • Analysis of the CDP data (with SC Performance Mgr) and provide insights to Category Management
  • Work closely with Corporate ESG team to align SC with corporate ESG vision
  • Facilitate ESG discussions with suppliers as per business needs
  • Actively promote ESG requirements (both corporate vision and global legislations coming soon) with the Supplier community and internal Supply chain community
  • Facilitate Supplier ESG Engagement day (annual)
  • Support with ESG auditors queries/findings and provide accurate/factual responses
  • Generate reports and dashboards as required by the business – with support from SC Performance Manager
  • Review and update our Enterprise Management processes with regard to ESG – with support from SC Process Assurance Manager
  • Support preparation of a Sustainable Procurement Plan with a view to future adherence to CSRD and CSDDD requirements

Job Requirements:

  • 3 years experience in a similar role, dealing with responsible sourcing and supply chain management.
  • Proven experience and background in human rights due diligence based on international standards such as UNGPs, OECD Guidelines for MNEs, IFC Performance Standards, and Equator Principles 4.
  • Familiarity with social requirements from EU Legislation such as CSDDD, EU Taxonomy Minimum Safeguards, and CSRD.
  • Proven track record of developing a prioritization approach for assessing potential and actual adverse impacts on human rights in the supply chain.
  • Experience establishing measures to cease, mitigate, end, or prevent adverse human rights impacts in the supply chain.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop monitoring and auditing plans including developing and implementing social due diligence processes for ESG high-risk suppliers in the supply chain.
  • Proven expertise in establishing and improving a remediation plan for the supply chain.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills to develop risk screening methodologies including reporting & dashboarding
  • Work with internal stakeholders to support systems and processes for GHG emissions disclosures with our key suppliers.
