MISSION

Are you a passionate chemist who thrives on exploring new frontiers in cosmetic science? We are seeking a Senior Innovation & Research Chemist who excels as a technical specialist, focusing on feasibility studies, instrumental measurements, and cutting-edge research. This role is perfect for someone who prefers to lead through expertise rather than management, driving innovation and contributing to groundbreaking advancements in the cosmetic industry.

• Lead and execute formulation and research projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring exceptional product quality and performance.
• Conduct feasibility studies to assess the technical and practical viability of new formulations and product concepts.
• Perform advanced instrumental measurements to analyze, optimize, and validate product properties and performance.
• Carry out detailed patent and literature searches to identify opportunities for innovation and ensure compliance with intellectual property regulations.
• Drive the exploration of new ingredients, technologies, and methodologies to push the boundaries of cosmetic science.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of research efforts with business and product development goals.
• Continuously contribute to the advancement of the department by proposing innovative ideas, solutions, and improvements.
• Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to enhance the efficiency of formulation development, accelerate research processes, and optimize product performance through data-driven insights.

YOU

• PhD in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field with 2+ years of industry experience, or MSc with 8+ years of industry experience in cosmetic formulation, product development, and applied research.
• Expertise in feasibility studies and instrumental measurement techniques.
• Strong track record of technical contributions leading to innovative cosmetic products.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving innovation.
• Proficiency in patent and literature search methodologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands.
