Account Engineer

As an Account Engineer, you are broadly responsible for starting new projects as well as effectively continuing the ongoing projects within NAA. In this role, you constantly weigh the interests of the client, the technical feasibility of a project, and the interests of Neways. The Account Engineer is part of the Customer Focus Team, which also includes sales, planning, and procurement. You are the interface between the customers and your colleagues and are the internal point of contact for technical matters. You oversee all other engineering departments and are responsible for the entire NPI process.

Furthermore, we require:

• A completed higher professional education (HBO) in the direction of electrical engineering, technical business administration, or mechanical engineering
• Affinity with production, test development, and business processes and procedures is a plus
• You have problem-solving skills and know how to maintain an overview
• Good communication and written skills in Dutch and English

Your daily responsibilities include

You can work independently, structured, and project-oriented like no other. Thanks to your business insight, helicopter view, and excellent communication skills, you can efficiently manage the entire NPI process from start to finish and within scope. Due to your experience and proactive attitude, you can prevent or effectively resolve unexpected issues in a timely manner. Additionally, you have a technical-commercial mindset and are good at maintaining internal and external contacts. You have a critical eye and feel comfortable in a project-based role.

Your further tasks include:

• Ensuring from the start of the design that the product is manufacturable in production and can be produced according to the targets agreed with the client
• Responsible for a well-developed, manufacturable, and testable product
• Responsible for all technical aspects regarding the assessment of changes in terms of completeness and manufacturability
• Coordinating the work of product engineers and test engineers
• Assessing and advising on “design for excellence”
