Nutricia Research Centre for Specialized Nutrition, located in the Utrecht Science Park in the Netherlands is a state-of-the-art Life Science Innovation center for the development of new product concepts for Specialized Nutrition. We create formulas that provide clinically substantiated health benefits to vulnerable consumers - infants, toddlers, elderly and patients.

FSMP Innovations team is part of the Innovation Design and Development Center (IDDC) and plays an instrumental role in bringing innovations to the Medical Nutrition brands.

We are currently seeking for the Senior Team Leader who will lead this team.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Team Leader is responsible for the IDDCs team designing and developing powder products for the Medical Nutrition categories - a 1.3b€ business, with an ambition to significantly grow in the coming 3-5 years - and for co-building and delivering the Innovation pipeline for that category and for building the technical competencies related to that category.​

This position is a critical position for the SN growth.

In this position you will be reporting into the IDDC Director for FSMP and you will have the following accountabilities and responsibilities:

• Co-build the Innovation strategy and pipeline for the FSMP categories
• Be in charge of the product design, development, prototyping and testing of the product, including the nutritional design, sensory, physical characteristics, and industrial feasibility. Ensure full adherence to design and development principles, regulatory requirements, consumer experience and factory capability.
• Key member in project management including feasibility study, risk assessment, and building and delivering qualification plan till product launch
• Work closely with the Exploration team on new benefits, new formats and new product features.
• Ensure Design principles are fully deployed across the team. Contribute to further develop the approach and ensure its full application.
• Define strategic resources planning for optimal efficiency, between Inno, F4G and capability projects.

As Senior Team Leader in IDDC you are Owner of your Category. As leader, you are expected to demonstrate and deliver strategic vision, working closely with your counterparts in the Zones and Countries. You should possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders within R&I and with other Functions (CBI, Science and Technology, Operations, Quality, Innovation Realization Office). Additionally, you should have the resources to inspire and motivate your team (7 experienced Product Design and Development Managers, located on 2 sites: Liverpool and Utrecht), fostering a culture of curiosity and desire to make "the extra-mile".

Your profile:

You are a dedicated professional with a passion for driving Innovation, developing new ideas into commercial products, and new ways of thinking to serve the business and inspire teams towards excellence.

Your expertise:

• Master’s degree in Food Technology/Food Science.​
• At least 5 years of experience in Product Design and Development, Quality, or Innovation Management.
• Strong technological background in medical nutrition know-how​.
• Methodic and having Continuous Improvement and Excellence in Execution mindset. Green Belt / Black Belt Six-Sigma would be a plus.
• Stakeholder Management/Influence & Engagement.​
• Experience in Team management and development
