What will you do?

The Team Supervisor WTG / BoP supports the Operations Manager in organizing daily maintenance and operation of the Windfarm.

Support in ensuring a safe, cost-efficient and compliant execution of maintenance and site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong focus on and work towards a positive HS&E culture and act as a role model
  • Responsible for and participate in morning brief, toolbox talks and performance meetings, when on shift.
  • Deputy for Operations Manager in the case of absence
  • Participate in Emergency Response and incident management as directed by Site Manager
  • Track the progress and keep site management informed of all O&M activities e.g., retrofits, inspections, service, jack-up etc.
  • Accountable for directing vessel/helicopter and SOV movements to optimize time and reduce fuel consumption
  • Line management and development of Technicians and Supervisors, this includes performance talks (start, mid and end year), disciplinary actions, approving hours/absence etc. and regular 1:1 dialogue
  • Technician resource management and management of associated budget
  • Manage improvement initiatives, ensuring owners are assigned and regular updates, focus and cross portfolio sharing is achieved, e.g., increasing productivity, people performance or safety.
  • Support Planning function with any technical questions and allocate the relevant resources related to the plan and schedules, as well as how work can be bundled to improve efficiency
  • Translate plans into execution and generate daily transfer/pax lists
  • Ensure that work plans are developed to ensure passenger/material transfers are executed in accordance with safe working practices and take relevant procedures into account
  • Liaise with the scope responsible on projects to ensure that all technicians, contractors and third parties going offshore have the correct certification and competences to carry out the planned work
  • Inform about the progress and keep stakeholders informed on progress of all activities, including retrofits, inspections, service jack-up etc. performed on site
  • Update various databases to comply with reporting obligations
  • Lead morning brief, de-brief in the evening, toolbox talks, performance meetings etc. if required
  • Supervise teams of internal and external Technicians carrying out scheduled maintenance/troubleshooting and ensuring a consistent high level of quality, efficiency and safety
  • Ensure review of relevant back reporting. Process as required, collaborate with technical authorities to finalize and evaluate back reporting.
  • Work close together with the Planning function optimizing the yearly plan
  • In SAP (Maintenance tool), release and inspect service work orders, ensuring hours, explanation and use of spare parts (technical complete), before they are closed (business close) by the O&M Coordinator
  • Receive and collect all incoming notifications from the technicians. Evaluate the priority of works, convert notifications into work orders and schedule accordingly. Pull in Associate Technical Expert – HV/Region for support if needed

Your profile

Who are you?

You will be comfortable in this role if you bring:

  • Mechanical and or Electrical B.Sc. or similar
  • Min. 5-year experience as leader in Offshore Wind Business
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge about WTG in electrical and mechanical areas or Experience from the wind business or other power generation preferred
  • Strong drive and business mindset
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Operation & Maintenance knowledge preferred

In addition, the following points are really important. You are:

  • in possession of a driving license B
  • living within commuting distance of IJmuiden
  • in possession of good IT skills (MS-office applications and SAP system)
