What are you going to do?

As a Junior Ruby Developer for team Agenda, you will work on our Agenda app and related applications. Our Agenda application is tailored specifically for the needs of healthcare professionals, and practitioners especially. We support in delivering the right care at the right time, addressing the challenges currently faced by the healthcare sector. Capacity shortages, combined with the desire to provide each client with care tailored to their needs, make scheduling and planning a constant challenge.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop & Improve: Work on creating and maintaining (new) features, in collaboration ensuring high-quality and maintainable code.
  • Collaborate: Work with your team to come up with the best possible solution technically and functionally.
  • Learn & Grow: Gain hands-on experience by participating in all stages of the development process, from understanding user requirements to rolling out updates.

Your team

Team Agenda is a multidisciplinary team comprising developers, a UX designer, and a product owner. Once a week, everyone comes together in the office, and for the other days, you can choose to work remotely or in the office. We are a close-knit team dedicated to solving logistical problems for practitioners and improving workflows through smart solutions. Our primary focus is on Ons Agenda, an application with a Vue.js front end and a Ruby on Rails back end. You will play a key role in contributing to this product and other applications within the suite, all designed to simplify the lives of healthcare professionals.

Required experience and skills

As a Junior Ruby Developer, you are eager to learn, proactive, and ready to collaborate. You work accurately and are motivated to continuously improve yourself and your team. Additionally, you:

  • Experience: Have about 2 years of experience in full-stack software development.
  • Language: Possess good verbal and written English skills; speaking Dutch is a plus.
  • Ruby on Rails: Being familiar with Ruby on Rails, Vue.js or React is a plus.
  • On-call rotation: Are willing to participate in an on-call rotation during office hours.

Good to know: You are available for 32 -38 hours. Hybrid (remote) working is common within Nedap and together with your team you will arrange your own working hours for a good work/life balance. You will be present on our campus in Groenlo at least once a week.”
