Purpose of Role

As an E-commerce Merchandiser Professional, you will optimize site conversion through merchandising strategies, product launches, and site maintenance. You will manage daily business needs, including site merchandising execution, data analysis, and collaboration with creative, content, and marketing teams to update the site. Utilizing research and analytics, you will drive recommendations and decision-making, ensuring operational accuracy for a seamless customer experience. This position reports directly to the Manager of E-commerce Content, Merchandising.

Your Impact

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Contribute to the development of the E-commerce Content and Commercial calendar, with a strong focus on visual merchandising.
  • Partner with Planning and Merchandising team to consolidate products calendar and products activation.
  • Visually merchandise the site according to the activation strategy to effectively convey seasonal stories.
  • Enhance the site by optimizing the PLP and PDP experience through effective management of PLP filters, faceted navigation, PDP badges, and product icons.
  • Define and optimize sorting rules making sure the PLPs look visually aligned with Brand and commercial strategies.
  • Review website daily to ensure category and product accuracy.
  • Monitor product and PLP performance, providing reports and insights to the cross-functional team, and making proactive requests to adjust the commercial calendar.
  • Analyze products performance to define, adjust and/or visually optimize the products assortment.
  • Analyze data, use competitors’ analysis to identify opportunities, build plans to actualize ideas and bring innovation on merchandising/sorting techniques.
  • Analyze and provide competitor overviews holistically (Pricing, Offer, Categorization etc); Edited knowledge is a plus.
  • Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required by management.

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience (include but are not limited to the following):

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a business-, marketing- or communications-related field.
  • 2 - 3 years of work experience as a digital content merchandiser, preferably in an international sporting goods or fashion company, is a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to be able to manage multiple projects and prioritize accordingly.
  • Eye for detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires performing under pressure – think ex. Cyber Week.
  • Demonstrated effective problem-solving skills like thinking out of the box paired with the use rigorous logic.
  • Track record of a proactive and solutions-oriented profile, always looking for ways to improve.
  • Analytical skills and clear understanding of data-driven decision making.
  • Experience in working with content management systems such Demandware/Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Adobe Analytics is a strong plus.
  • Strong communicator with excellent command of the English language.
  • Additional European languages such as German, French, and Spanish are a plus.
