Internship (Research & Innovation): Nutrition Manager

In this internship, you will be part of the dynamic Global Nutrition Team which is based across different sites in Europe and is within our Research and Innovation business department. During this internship, you will have a chance to contribute to Danone’s integral mission:To bring health through food to as many people as possible. You will be experiencing various aspects of nutrition being translated to product such as nutrition quality & performance. In addition, you will closely work within the team and interact with various cross functional teams such as Medical Affairs, Product Development, Quality, Marketing teams giving you cross functional teams’ exposure.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Support the development and deployment of new nutritional frameworks for our product categories (Early life nutrition, dairy, plant-based, beverages)
• Conduct bibliographic research, analysis and simulation on the product portfolio, creation of scientific rationales, creation of training materials to support teams and the internal nutrition network.
• Analyze the nutritional quality & performance of our product categories and communicate it to the internal nutrition network and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze recent scientific advances/publications and regulations related to the nutritional quality of our categories (nutrients, ingredients)

About you

• You are a Master student currently pursuing a degree in Nutrition, Biology, Dietetics, Pharmacology, Public Health or a related field
• You are passionate about nutrition
• Proficient in handling large data base in Excel and ability to extract facts (required); knowledge of Power Bi is a plus
• Able to work in hybrid environment with colleagues based in different locations
• Strong communication skills
• Team player

As a Nutrition Manager intern critical and scientific thinking will be second nature to you. You are highly organized, and you have an eye for detail. On top of that? You’re a motivated analytical thinker who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.

There are also some compulsory requirements:

• Enrolled as a Master student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
• Ideally available to start in March 2025 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week;
• You are fluent in English - spoken and written
• You are able to work from our Utrecht office 2-3 days per week;
• Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.

We Offer

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.

* Please be aware that you must acquire a BSN number to receive the full internship allowance.
