In this internship, you will be part of Danone’s EU Finance Manufacturing team, within our multinational company. Our purpose is to support decision-making across Operations functions by providing accurate financial analysis and reporting. During this internship, you will collaborate with financial SPOCs from over 30 factories around Europe and support various finance and control-related business issues. For your development you will have access to a wide range of company’s tools with an extensive range of different trainings and e-learnings where you can deep dive in many fields of expertise. In addition, you will have expert guidance and support from your business manager and the team. Throughout this internship, you will have to prove yourself being able to adapt to the challenging fast paced Manufacturing controlling environment and appear as a key element to the teams. Your main responsibilities include:

• Contributing to all Finance & Control related business issues to support decision-making across Operations functions.
• Consolidating, analyzing, and animating the performance of the 33 European designated factories.
• Managing monthly performance of the factories (defining targets, RF, actuals).
• Following up on deviations and initiating actions to fill the gaps vs. targets.
• Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of industrial costs, KPIs, and performance.

Meet your future manager! Your manager will be Filipa Arantes Oliveira, who joined Danone as a Manufacturing Finance Analyst 2 years ago. She takes care of the full European finance manufacturing scope, together with her manager, Gerardo. One of Filipa’s preferred activities at Danone is to visit plants, where all manufacturing takes places.

About you

As a Finance Manufacturing Intern, analytical skills will be second nature to you. You can work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and respect deadlines. On top of that, you’re a proactive, open-minded individual who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.

You have:

• An analytical mindset with excellent Excel skills (including vlookups and pivot tables).
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate results.
• The ability to challenge situations and act with resilience.
• Great team spirit.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.

There are also some compulsory requirements:

• You are a Master’s student in Finance/Business Management - Controlling - Modelling P&L / BS / FCF during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university).
• You are fluent in English – oral and written.
• You are available for at least 6 months, 5 days per week.
• You are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN number.
