🥜 In a nutshell

As the Product Owner for our Search & Ranking team, you’ll lead the development of Picnic’s search and personalized ranking systems, impacting millions of customer interactions each day. The team drives the end-to-end search experience—from search relevance and personalized product recommendations to an intuitive user interface. You’ll combine user research and design with data analysis and a deep understanding of search technologies to help customers find what they need effortlessly.

Working closely with a talented team of engineers, data analysts, and UX designers, you’ll identify opportunities to improve the user experience, build a product roadmap, and deliver it. With a mix of hands-on analysis, strategic planning, and care for good design, you’ll be instrumental in creating a tailored shopping experience that leverages the unique advantages of an app-only supermarket.

🎯 What you’ll do

• Talk to customers and analyze search data to uncover opportunities and define a product roadmap that aligns user needs and business goals
• Optimize search relevance by refining our search pipeline and recommendation models, working closely with engineers and data analysts
• Collaborate with UX designers and researchers to map customer journeys and design features that help users formulate queries and navigate search results easily
• Build and support a highly effective team in a rapidly growing organization together with your technical counterpart

⭐ About you

• You have a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• You have 2-5 years of experience in a product-led organization, ideally as a Product Analyst or Product Owner, or within search or recommendation systems
• You have strong analytical and conceptual skills and the mindset of having data & tech at the core of everything you do
• You're deeply passionate about shipping great products with great user experiences
• You have solid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact with different stakeholders
• You hold an EU working permit or citizenship
