Basic Function

The Brand Manager, reporting to the Director of Global Brand Management, will lead the development and execution of global brand programming for Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting (TAA). This role will drive initiatives to strengthen brand value, optimize brand architecture, and increase brand awareness across key markets and audiences. As a central collaborator, the Brand Manager will work across divisions, functions, and geographies to deliver consistent and impactful brand messaging that aligns with TAA’s strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing corporate or product brands in a complex, global environment, with expertise in both strategic planning and tactical execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand Strategy Development

  • Lead the creation and implementation of global brand programs to enhance brand equity and visibility across key audiences.
  • Align brand initiatives with Wolters Kluwer TAA’s overall mission and goals.

Brand Architecture

  • Implement a cohesive brand architecture that strengthens the relationship between the master brand and solution brands, enhancing clarity and supporting strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products, services, and initiatives align with the established brand framework and business priorities.
  • Develop tools and resources to help internal teams understand and apply the brand architecture effectively, fostering consistency and scalability across the organization.

Campaign Development & Execution

  • Design and execute integrated brand campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to create compelling and consistent brand assets.
  • Measure and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Brand Governance & Guidelines

  • Maintain and implement brand guidelines to ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and design.
  • Serve as a key advisor to internal stakeholders, providing guidance and resources to uphold brand standards.
  • Manage the brand portal and other tools that support brand education and adoption.

Market Research & Insights

  • Conduct brand health and equity studies to understand market perception, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategies.
  • Leverage customer and market insights to refine brand positioning and initiatives.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with marketing, product, and communications teams to ensure brand alignment across all touchpoints.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to embed branding best practices into their workflows.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies.

Innovation & Trends

  • Stay updated on branding trends, tools, and best practices, applying relevant innovations to enhance the TAA brand.

Other Duties

  • Special projects as appropriate.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, branding, business administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in branding or marketing are a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in brand management, corporate branding, or marketing, with a focus on B2B.
  • Proven experience in leading brand campaigns and initiatives in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong track record of collaboration with cross-functional teams and external agencies.

Skills and Competencies

  • Native or near-native fluency in English (written and oral).
  • Fluency in Dutch and other languages is a plus.
  • Has experience working at Divisional/BU levels of a large organization.
  • Has significant experience influencing teams that sit in different corners of the world.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into impactful brand strategies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem solver with a keen eye for design and storytelling.
  • Proficient in branding tools, analytics platforms, and digital marketing technologies.

Travell requirements: This position requires travelling < 20%.

Physical Demands: This is a hybrid role with a requirement of being in Alphen office a minimum of 8 days a month, or more as needed.
