Sr. Business Portfolio Manager

Job Description

Your challenge:

The Senior Business Portfolio Manager is responsible for the commercial and operational efficiency of the Philips Avent business portfolio across global markets. He/she manages the business unit performance management, leads the business commercialization and value maximization strategy and defines the commercial guidelines for the global regions.

You will report directly to the MCC Business Portfolio Leader and are part of the MCC Business Portfolio team responsible for commercial and operational efficiency and consistency of business portfolio across global markets.

Your role includes:

  • Leading the Global Category Growth Strategy by defining global portfolio channelization for our consolidated portfolio and establishing business category commercial guidelines to ensure successful launches and category growth.
  • Ensuring the delivery of maximum value of the portfolio, driving strategic choices and securing the right levels of investments.
  • Managing short-term business unit level performance and corrective action plans, ensuring enabler delivery from business to regions.
  • Supporting business region combination management through regular communication with markets and identifying new market opportunities.
  • Acting as a custodian of the global commercial policy and supporting the Business / X-Category teams with operational pricing activities.
  • Supporting the annual global price adjustment by driving strategic initiatives considering profitability outlook, competitive pricing, and other factors.
  • Facilitating the price realization target setting process between Business and Regions.
  • Coordinating and aligning the promotional strategy for key customer archetypes and supporting strategic customer exclusives/promotions globally.
  • Managing pricing exceptions for promotions, aging and excess stock, phase-out, and COOP, ensuring feedback loop on price setting quality.
  • Analyzing pricing and profitability KPIs and acting as a consultant towards business stakeholders to drive continuous pricing and profitability performance improvements.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or applicable discipline; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of marketing and/or sales experience in a commercial organization
  • Consumer Packaged Goods experience required
  • Passion for and focus on consumer-first and customer-centric solutions with strong knowledge of go-to-market strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and work with all levels in a complex matrixed organization, including senior leadership.
  • Proven leadership ability with a high level of integrity, and the willingness to take ownership, accept responsibility, and make decisions for problem resolution.
  • High personal performance standards, desire and ability to continuously learn, adapt and lead with an enterprise mindset, unwilling to accept status quo.
  • Working knowledge of latest Digital Trends related to business models and activation channels.
  • Expert written/verbal communication skills, and capability to present complex concepts concisely to a variety of audiences, including senior executives.
