🥜 In a nutshell

• At Picnic, we use React Native to provide an innovative service to our customers through our mobile app. Quality is our top priority, so we use TypeScript in our server-driven UI framework as well as our frontend code.
• In this role, in addition to working with React Native daily you'll be working with our powerful server-driven UI framework that's at the heart of our business's success:
• Powers our entire shopping app and enables rapid iterations
• Drives sophisticated personalization at scale, delivering tailored content to each user
• Empowers our business teams to operate the store autonomously - dozens of operators and analysts make every day real-time updates without any further tech involvemen
• You can expect to work with a wide range of technologies within the JavaScript ecosystem, across the full stack!

🎯 What you'll do

• Work on our customer facing Picnic store, implementing new features on a daily basis
• Contribute to our React Native architecture and server-driven UI framework, with a focus on developer experience, performance optimization, and establishing best practices for scalable development
• Collaborate with designers and product owners to create specifications for new features
• Build out our backend-driven UI framework (developed in React Native) and transition existing functionalities from native to React Native whenever possible
• Leverage your communication skills in a cross-functional team, including to mentor our amazing team of mobile engineers

⭐ About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years in full-time software development, of which 3+ in TypeScript, React, or React Native
• Experience in shipping high-traffic applications
• A willingness and desire to work with a variety of technologies
• Hands-on experience with (unit) testing
• A problem-solving mindset
• The confidence to transform high-level business requirements into a technical plan
• Experience working in a product-based company
• The ability to coach fellow developers using a structured communication style
