Finance Traineeship

What will you do as a Finance Trainee?

During this 2-year programme you will get to know all the facets of Finance & Analytics by being involved in five different assignments. That would be the following topics:

• Accounts Payable
• Financial Control
• Project Administration
• Project Control
• Analytics/Reporting

The various assignments will allow you to grow as a professional, in an environment where teamwork, ownership and empowerment are highly valued. You work in the specific department where you are assigned, work on a larger project, and focus on growing your (soft) skills. After 2 years of assignments, you have seen a wide variety of positions which enables you to take the next step within our organization.

Throughout the Finance Traineeship program, you will have a mentor from the Finance management team to guide you, providing overall career advice and support. In addition to your mentor, you will have a coach at each station. The coach will be your first point of contact and will teach you the ins and outs of that specific station. Both mentors and coaches are available to help you develop professionally and provide you with the tools you need to make your traineeship a success.

In Finance at Royal HaskoningDHV, more than 200 professionals are active in various countries, divided into Business and Financial control. As a trainee, you will learn more about the different departments of Financial and Business Control, and work in them.

What you bring

You are a recent graduate or about to graduate from your bachelor’s or master’s degree in a financial field. You are ambitious, have a result driven mindset and are enthusiastic to grow and learn more.

• You are digitally savvy (you quickly pick up new systems and processes).
• Work experience: 0-2 years;
• A good mastery of the English language is required;
• Proficiency in the Dutch language is an added bonus, but not required.

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure is described below.

1. CV/Motivation Screening (10 January).
2. Phone Interview (mid/end January).
3. Personal Assessment (mid/end January).
4. Physical Selection Event in Amersfoort (3 February) comprising the following elements:

• Company presentation
• Introduction of participants
• Group assignment
• Presentation of the case
• Feedback moment

1. Selection of our preferred trainees (2 placements).
2. Receive your personal job offer (8-9 February).
3. Starting on the 1st of March.

A few hours after the selection event all the candidates will be called to let you personally know if we will continue with you to the personal interviews round or not.
