An exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team within FEC Sanctions department responsible for designing and developing the Sanctions landscape within Rabobank with the goal to reach the maturity targets with the aim to be best in class.

You and your job

The Strategic Design and Coverage Team is responsible for the design and development of strategic sanctions proposals and for steering the maturity of sanctions controls across the bank. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the evolution of the Bank’s sanctions framework with your excellent organizational skills; information visualization skills; presentation skills; stakeholder management; and editorial skills. Your role is to organize strategic sanctions initiatives and visualize technical sanctions content information into a style that enables senior management and other stakeholders to make effective decisions. Top responsibilities:
  • Facilitate global cross-team initiatives by keeping track of ongoing workstreams, aligning with key stakeholders, coordinate work on the relevant documentation, planning road maps for initiatives;
  • Transform complex technical information into aesthetic, easy-to-understand visuals using Microsoft PowerPoint or equivalent software;
  • Prepare sophisticated presentation decks for the management and stakeholders to enable understanding of complex sanctions initiatives (e.g. visualize goals, background, scope, achieved milestones, responsibilities, impediments);
  • Collaborate with sanctions experts and other stakeholders to understand and interpret complex information.
  • Edit and refine memorandums and other documentation associated with sanctions initiatives to maximize value to recipients;
  • Track project milestones and progress against deliverables; maintain the team’s book of work; and other organizational activity to enable the team to track and meet its objectives.
  • Updating Azure DevOps, reflecting goals, tasks, progress, impediments, workstream owners and completed items;
  • Provide clear updates to management on the team’s progress against initiatives and book of work, ensuring that issues are escalated where appropriate;
  • Align with stakeholders from inside and outside the sanctions domain, acquiring and assessing their feedback, input and contribution;

You and your talent

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
  • Proven experience in visual communication, graphic design or a related field;
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint (or equivalent software);
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Experience with senior stakeholder management and high organizational sensitivity and integrity;
  • It is not necessary to be a financial crime or sanctions content expert however, a good level of knowledge is preferred. You have a keen interest in financial crime including sanctions and you are ready to develop your skills in this space;
  • Proactive, identifies opportunities for improvement;
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.
