The internship

As part of the Innovation and Beer Systems Team, you will have the unique opportunity to participate in the development of the future of beer and beyond at Heineken. The internship focuses on giving you great understanding of how to support operating companies of Heineken through platforms and tools to innovate, build and expand our propositions in draught beer and beyond.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assess, harmonise & rationalise our IT platforms & websites, related to our Innovative Draught systems (eg DrivenbyDraught.com, Blade.shop, Brand Portal).
  • Upgrade & Update the websites with the latest relevant information.
  • Provide operational support to projects related to “connected/smart” draught beer propositions.

During your internship you will get the opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also outside your department. We give you the trust and freedom, so you can work like a real entrepreneur. The department

You will report to the Director Innovation & Beer Systems, and you will be positioned at the Global office in Amsterdam. The team consists of people with different nationalities whom all share the same passion and drive for innovation and success.

The terms of employment

  • You start in January 2025
  • The internship is fulltime
  • The duration of the internship is at least 6 months (in consultation with your internship supervisor)
  • You are registered at an educational institution in the Netherlands, also during your internship
  • It is a practice-oriented internship
  • You will be based in Amsterdam
  • You will receive an internship fee of €650 (with a start from 01 January 2025)
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

The unique you!

We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking and outgoing person, enrolled in a university throughout the entire period of the internship and with a keen interest in the world of innovation management; you can combine strategy and creativity in your work approach. Moreover, you are a people’s person, always willing to be of service to your colleagues and other stakeholders.

Furthermore, you are studying towards your Bachelor or Masters in the areas of Information Technology, Business Administration, Business Communication, Marketing, Innovation, Supply Chain, or similar.

Also the ideal candidate has:

  • Affinity with Information Technology (eg websites & portals)
  • An excellent grasp and control of the English language. Second language is always a plus.
  • Persuasive and proficient communication and creative writing skills
  • (Innovation) Management and People skills
  • Analytical skills and view
