Graduation: Workload Forecast Spare Parts Logistics

Assignment

Based on incoming purchase orders (inbound) and planned sales orders (outbound), create an accurate warehouse workload forecast prediction. This task includes the following steps:

Develop Operational Process: Analyze current workflows and identify bottlenecks. Design a streamlined process for managing data of incoming and outgoing goods flows. Implement procedures for collecting and processing workload data.

Build Tooling with Power BI: Develop dashboards and reports in Power BI that display real-time data. Ensure the dashboards are interactive, allowing users to perform in-depth analyses. Integrate data sources to provide a comprehensive view of warehouse activities.

Create Live and Up-to-date Forecast: Use predictive analytics techniques to forecast future workload based on historical data. Ensure the forecasts are dynamic and adjust to changes in planning. Implement notification systems so that changes in planning are immediately visible to the relevant staff. By following these steps, an effective system can be established that not only manages the current workload but also accurately predicts future needs and adapts to changing conditions.

Department

You will be a part of the Spare Parts team within the Business Unit Supply. The Spare Parts department is globally responsible for marketing, procurement, sales, planning and delivery of Vanderlande material handling Spare Parts. The department consists of two teams. Logistics, responsible for the replenishment order management and order fulfilment process of Spare Parts. You would be positioned in this department.

Parts Marketing and Sales Solutions, responsible for product management, master data, E-com and marketing, and also for package order management.

Your responsibilities

• Define future forecast option(s) and process(es)
• Implement the Power BI tool for “live” forecast information
• Mapping the defined process End to End

Your profile

• Knowledge of Power BI
• Good communication skills
• Logistical/statistics background
• Effective planning and organizational skills with a structured and accurate working approach
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Mandatory enrolment in a Dutch Education System and resident of The Netherlands*
