Your Job

As Senior Accounting Specialist you will be joining the Corporate Accounting & Control team who provides the monthly information on the actual numbers within VodafoneZiggo. In this role, you'll play a key part in month-end and year-end closing procedures, focusing on the financial spend for VodafoneZiggo. Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing balance sheet reconciliation and work on an effective month-end closing process. You’ll work closely with the other teams within Finance Operations as well as the other financial departments like Treasury and Cash Management. You will assist in providing insights and analysis over the actual numbers. You will maintain and continuously improve the financial processes and flows in order to have an effective and efficient control environment. If needed, you will assist in special internal projects. Furthermore, you will support in gathering documentation for internal and external audits.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
• 2-5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Experience with accounting processes including MEC, processes manual journals, balance sheet reconciliations and reconciling large sets of data to identify anomalies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software such as SAP or Oracle
• Fluent in English speaking and writing

For this role, we offer a fixed-term contract for one year. The possibility of extension will depend on future developments. Please note that we do not offer a relocation package for this position.
