Job Title: Summer Intern Submarines Telecoms and Communication Engineer
Join our Submarines Team to be a part of designing, building, testing, and commissioning the largest and most advanced submarines ever operated by the Royal Navy. As a Summer Intern Telecoms and Communications Engineer, you will be part of our team developing solutions to complex technical questions and in-service upgrades for Submarine platforms within the Engineering Project Group.
You will be working across the breadth of the engineering design lifecycle to support the current projects, such as our Dreadnought class and Astute class submarines and work on the future bidding activity of the department. You will be assisting in providing professional engineering services to meet the future operational needs of naval platforms, the Submarine business, and customer programmes.
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering biased towards Radio or Network design or, Physics with a strong bias towards Radio Frequency or Fibre Optic Engineering.
To be considered for this role you must be returning to university to complete your degree.
