Opting for the role of Cost Controller in the Competence Center Control & Analytics is opting for a finance role at the heart of the Eneco organization, where Eneco's customers are served.

Within the Competence Center Control & Analytics of the Eneco Customer Organisation (the customer organization), the challenge is to understand business changes from a financial perspective, adequately document financials, and increasingly present financial performance. These insights lead to better products for customers and contribute to the realization of product promises. You will lead changes and inspire your colleagues while we also support your personal development.

Your Role

As part of a team comprising analysts, financial controllers, and margin controllers, you'll be responsible for accurately preparing and analyzing financial reporting for the B2C and B2B departments. You will conduct financial analyses related to expenses, contributing to the financial and operational optimization of processes in the planning & control cycle.

Main Responsibilities

• Timely month-end, quarterly, and annual closings of the actuals, performing control and analytical tasks, and identifying trends and patterns.
• Structure and optimize financial processes, systems, and reports related to costs.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of cost documentation and its representation in management reports.
• Provide management insights into commitments made and clarify actuals.
• Responsible for setting up Power BI, SAP, and TM-1 for accurate reporting of realized and budgeted costs.
• Support the annual budgeting cycle by providing timely information to business controllers.
• Manage the relationship for cost control with business controllers within the matrix organization.

What We Are Looking For

• HBO/WO work and thinking level with 3-5 years of relevant experience in controlling.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments.
• Pragmatic insights for improving financial data streams and result presentations.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and journalizing.
• Strong Excel and data modeling skills.

Working with the leader of the energy transition.

You will report to the Manager of Competence Center Control & Analytics and work closely with business controllers. Together, we provide the business with valuable insights into strategy realization and offer indispensable guidance on the potential of new products and services.
