Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the high-quality network services of Dienst ICT Uitvoering (DICTU) are always up and running and continuously improved. You will work in an Agile team of 7 Network Experts. Alongside your colleagues, you provide connectivity to, in, and between the Dictu Datacenters (OSI layers 1, 2, and 3); you are involved in renewal projects and maintain contacts with internal customers and suppliers. You focus on technical adjustments for (new) architecture, infrastructure, systems, management, and security. You make it possible for employees of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality across the Netherlands to use their systems, networks, and workplaces.

Your primary responsibility is maintaining, optimizing, and ensuring the high availability of the network infrastructure. Your work includes implementing (complex) changes, resolving incidents, problems, and performing maintenance. You have experience and knowledge in the field of large network infrastructures. You act as a point of contact for the client and your colleagues. You also participate in on-call services.

Requirements

• An ICT-related MBO/HBO education.
• Knowledge of, and relevant work experience within a Cloud Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of, and experience with setting up and managing data(network)networks in large infrastructures (minimum 3 years).
• Skill in identifying and analyzing developments and problems.
• Skill in (project-based) establishing, implementing, and executing (partial)products, services, policies, and processes.
• Experience with, and knowledge of ICT components in the field of Cisco Routing and Switching; Cisco ACI and Cisco Nexus (minimum 3 years).
• Experience with, and knowledge of protocols such as DHCP, DNS, IPv4/6.

A Plus:

• Possession of CCNA and CCNP-Datacenter certifications.
• Knowledge of Infoblox, Python.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.

Furthermore, you are proactive, analytical, result-oriented, flexible, and a team player. You have strong oral and written communication skills, have a strong sense of responsibility, and are reliable. You are perceptive to your environment, know how to switch quickly on different levels, and are persistent. You thrive in a complex environment, where you collaborate with professional colleagues and tackle challenges. If you do not yet have a permanent employment contract as a civil servant, you will start with a temporary employment contract with the prospect of a permanent one. An assessment may be part of the selection process. After the period of the temporary employment contract, the intention is to continue the agreement indefinitely.
