How You Can Make Your Mark

Are you ready to make your mark as an intern within the engineering team of Boskalis Subsea Cables? This is your golden ticket to gaining hands-on experience in the field of engineering. Not only in the preparation of our Subsea Cable projects but also in the execution.

As an intern, you’ll be part of our preparation team. From ensuring our operations tick all the boxes – safety, quality, time, budget – to compliance with client contracts and regulations. You’ll get a 360-degree view of what it takes to bring these projects to life. With access to our internal engineering powerhouses and the chance to associate with external suppliers and subcontractors, your knowledge will grow.

This is What You Will Learn

• Get an overall feeling of what is involved in preparing and executing our innovative projects.
• Drafting specifications and procedures for our projects and designs within the set framework and customer and contractual requirements.
• Designing and developing innovative technical solutions. Thereby providing an optimal solution to the customer and mitigate risks to an as low as possible level.
• Defining scope, providing calculations, and checking engineering work executed by other departments or subcontractors.
• Assisting and advising during the execution of tenders and live projects, in some cases and if possible, on location or onboard one of our vessels.
• Identifying lessons learned and assisting with the implementation of related follow-up actions.

Your Qualities

• You are in your 3rd or 4th year of your bachelor or master studies in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• You have good communication skills and a good knowledge of the English language, both written and verbally.
• You are motivated and eager to learn.
• You are a team player, pro-active, and have a hands-on mentality.
