You will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external financial reporting, cash flow planning, cost control of departmental budgets, and conducting various financial analyses.

  • Cash Flow and Forecasting: Provide weekly short-term cash flow and bank guarantee forecasts to the Treasury department.
  • Internal and External Reporting: Compose internal and external reports, including (consolidated) financial statements, planning, budgeting, and forecasting, in close collaboration with the FSSC.
  • Annual Accounts Preparation: Contribute to the accurate and timely preparation of annual accounts for the company and its related entities, both domestic and international.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial reports for the Workboats Division and provide insightful, proactive advice.
  • Accounting Standards: Set accounting standards for division reporting purposes as outlined in the Damen Accounting Manual.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and improve financial, control, and management information systems and procedures across the organization.
  • Planning and Control Cycle: Contribute to the company's planning and control cycle.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up to date with new developments in the financial field.

Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience: Approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, consolidation, and reporting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in creating visuals (BI, graphs) and developing complex Excel models. Experience with SAP is also desired.
  • Personal Traits: Driven, ambitious, proactive, and prepared to go the extra mile. Hands-on, accurate, well-structured, reliable, and discrete.
  • Team Player: Flexible and able to work effectively in a small team within a dynamic work environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.

What We Offer

We want to make sure you are happy in your role at Damen Workboats, so we offer great opportunities to develop yourself in this position. We are a growing organization where innovation is the driving force. Entrepreneurship is in our DNA, and that's why we continue to grow and innovate and offer plenty of opportunities.

  • An excellent benefits package tailored to your experience and education level.
  • An international work environment.
  • Open, informal, no-nonsense culture with short communication lines.
