Graduate Naval Ships Electrical Engineer

Location: Scotstoun (Glasgow)

Start Date: 8th September 2025

BAE Systems offers a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. On our Graduate programme, you are expected to attend the site 3-4 days per week, subject to business needs. Hybrid working days will be outlined by your line manager.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Graduate, you will play a pivotal part in suggestions surrounding electronic product content, optimizing hardware and software design concepts, developing sophisticated design processes, and testing complex products. You will gain exposure to the entire project lifecycle, playing a key role in both maintaining our existing systems and developing new technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make recommendations about electronic product content.
  • Optimize hardware and software design concepts, and develop sophisticated design processes and test complex products.
  • Activities could include equipment behavior assessment, fault diagnosis, new technologies and components assessment, conducting laboratory tests and capturing data.
  • Circuit/firmware simulation and modeling, data analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
  • Gain exposure to the entire project lifecycle, playing a key role in maintaining our existing systems and developing new technologies.
  • Engage in projects outside of your primary remit for diverse experiences.

Skills

As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained or be predicted to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Electronics.
