What You Will Be Doing

The purpose of Manufacturing Engineering is to develop, implement, and govern capable methods of manufacture, assembly, disassembly, and repair (including method of verification) that can meet customer and business requirements for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with design intent. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will contribute to and be accountable for delivering Manufacturing Engineering outputs into Operations to ensure design intent can be met. The role holder will be competent and capable in the tasks they perform.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Influence the design to ensure it aligns with current and evolving manufacturing capability.
  • Develop manufacturing capability and technology (including IT) to ensure the design requirements can be met.
  • Translate the Engineering Design intent (Drawings, standards, etc.) into Manufacturing Engineering data for use in Operations.
  • Ensure that Manufacturing Engineering output meets all the relevant Safety and Quality requirements.
  • Generate and progress Manufacturing Engineering output in-line with Project / Programme requirements.
  • Define and execute emergent work affecting manufacture, fabrication, or construction.
  • Analyze and present manufacturing data to ensure process improvement or investment decisions are made based on data.

Skills

As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to be on track to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Production Engineering Management, Product Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

To be considered for this role, you must be returning to university to complete your degree.
