Join Our Expert Team Water at Province Flevoland

The water system in Flevoland is robustly designed, and we collaborate with partners to manage water tasks. We're seeking 8 new colleagues to join our team and develop sustainable water solutions.

Our Challenges

Water is essential for life but not always readily available. Challenges like climate change, land subsidence, and water quality require us to rethink our water management strategies. In Flevoland, we have a good starting position in terms of clean water and safe dikes, allowing us to facilitate other functions while considering the water system's limitations.

To maintain a functional water system and integrate it with other regional tasks, we must innovate and adapt. Our focus includes the energy transition and circular economy. This requires strategic choices and collaboration with partners such as local governments and businesses.

Your Role

We are forming a new Expert Team Water, and your role will be defined based on your expertise and ambitions. Key topics include water quality, groundwater protection, drinking water, freshwater availability, land subsidence, and water safety.

The team's primary tasks are to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate water policies in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Our Offer

• A salary between € 4,232 and € 6,783 per month, depending on experience (CAO provincial scale 11 and 12).

Your Profile

A passion for water is crucial. While the field may hold few secrets for you, curiosity drives you to tackle new challenges. You possess at least:

• A higher educational level (HBO/WO) in water, soil, or environmental studies.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience, depending on the level of responsibility (medior/senior).
• Experience in political and administrative processes.

Additionally, you bring the following competencies:

• Collaboration: Ability to contribute to the team by connecting different qualities and interests.
• Analytical: Understanding your field and the broader chain to anticipate future implications.
• Action-oriented: Ensuring the achievement of objectives through effective action.
