Manufacturing Technician - Radiopharmaceutical Products

A manufacturing technician at Novartis Baarle-Nassau plays a crucial role in the production of radiopharmaceutical products, adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Batch Manufacturing Records as specified in the quality system.

Major Accountabilities

• Prepare and execute the production process of pharmaceutical products by operating equipment and performing manual tasks.
• Execute chemical processes such as electrolysis and chromatography.
• Prepare chromatography columns for the production process.
• Prepare and execute the recycle line process, including target ampoule preparation.
• Clear and clean production line and equipment.
• Identify unexpected incidents and escalate to the production shift lead.
• Remedy first-line failures.
• Keep up to date with training requirements and act as a trainer for colleagues.

• Ensure a safe working environment by carefully handling radioactive materials.
• Ensure finished products are free from radioactive contamination.

• Maintain batch documentation.
• Ensure all manufacturing operations comply with GMP and internal standards.

• Identify process improvements.
• Work in project teams to optimize the production process.

Education

Knowledge of a pharmaceutical or control production environment.

MBO or HBO degree (engineering, biology, medical lab research, chemical analyst), MTS or MLO), VAPRO A/B

Languages

Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English.

Experiences

• Experience with production or GMP – PRE
• Certification at TMS-D level is a plus
• Experience as a trainer is a plus
