The Work and Organisational Psychology (WOP) group of the University of Amsterdam has a vacancy for an Assistant Professor position (0.9 fte). You will contribute to knowledge development and application within personnel and/or occupational health psychology. You will be involved in WOP courses at the Bachelor's and Master's levels, where you will teach and contribute to topics such as personnel psychology, HRM, coaching, and career management. You will also supervise Bachelor’s and Master’s students during their theses and internships.
The WOP group offers a Bachelor’s specialisation and a Master’s programme with four specialised Master’s tracks. It is also involved in the Psychology Research Master’s programme. Our Bachelor’s programme contains courses on recruitment and selection, teams in organisations, work motivation and health, leadership and organisational culture, diversity in the workplace, and sport and performance psychology. Our Master’s tracks are aimed at Human Resource and Career Management, Coaching and Vitality, Sports- and Performance Psychology, and Consultancy and Organisational Development.
The vacancy of Assistant Professor in Work and Organisational Psychology at the University of Amsterdam consists of a package of tasks comprising the following four components: teaching (max. 55% of the time, depending on management and grant acquisition), research (min. 45% of the time), valorisation, and administrative tasks. We offer a temporary employment contract of one year 34.2 hours per week (0.9 fte), with the prospect of a permanent contract following a positive assessment and unchanged financial and organizational circumstances.
Depending on your experience, the minimum salary is €4.492 and the maximum salary is €6.148 gross per month based on a 38-hour working week, in keeping with salary scale 11, as per the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities.
We also offer an extensive package of secondary benefits, including an 8% holiday allowance and a year-end bonus of 8.3%. The UvA offers excellent possibilities for further professional development and education.
