You become part of our Air Traffic Management Systems/Airside Systems team. You apply your knowledge of electronic/telecommunication systems and processes, supporting the wider team with your know-how and directly contributing to multidisciplinary projects all over the globe. As a member of our team, you:

  • Assist in study and design systems projects and take responsibility for project results and deliverables.
  • Help grow our ATM solutions business ATM solutions.
  • Develop and expand our capabilities in the field of ATM/Airfield Systems.
  • Develop functional and technical designs for systems that include (but not limited to) Navigational Aids, Aeronautical/Air Traffic Control Systems, Airside Communications Systems, and Meteorological Systems.
  • Develop Aurenatical/ATM Systems strategies and provide input for airport master plans.
  • Assist where possible on other Airport Systems (including ICT Systems) technically or advisory.
  • Assist in making proposals for new projects and tenders.
  • Study and apply relevant international standards and regulations (ICAO, Eurocontrol, FAA, etc).
  • Keep informed about the latest developments in airport systems, ATM, and related technologies.

What you bring

Working in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams spread across different countries is no problem for you.

You have a knack for technical work on systems and would like to further explore this domain in the world of aviation and further professionalize yourself there. Besides that, you have:

  • A relevant Bachelor or Masters degree in Electronics (in airports), Telecommunications/Electronic/Systems or similar related Engineering.
  • An affinity for the systems domain with some (between 1-5 years) experience/exposure in aviation preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English; additional languages will be considered a plus.
  • Previous experience in ATM/Aeronautical Systems (such as navigational aids, air traffic control systems, etc), airspace design, or with telecommunication systems (radio, control and instrumentation, ICT, or similar) related to aviation.

As Airport Systems Engineer you will become part of the Business Unit Aviation. This is one of the smaller and more boutique units and consists of the worldwide renowned consultancy brand NACO, Netherlands Airport Consultants. Our highly motivated team delivers full spectrum, integrated engineering-, strategic- and management consultancy services related to airport and aviation development all over the globe. You will be based in The Hague area (new office in Delft from January 2025), the Netherlands, from which we run our aviation business.
