The Role: Travel Desk Team Leader

The travel desk serves as an internal travel agency for the Damen Services division, which has approximately 330 employees. It acts as the expertise center for travel requests and visa applications, handling the whole process from booking to final settlements. This includes all contact with travel agencies, taxi companies, and more.

As a Travel Desk Team Leader, you will lead the Travel Desk, overseeing a team of 3 experienced colleagues. Your responsibility is to ensure the department is managed efficiently, providing high internal customer satisfaction within the set conditions.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure occupancy in the Travel Desk
• Supervise and guide employees in work execution
• Answer questions and resolve escalations
• Maintain and monitor working methods, procedures, and service level of the Travel Desk

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a pragmatic, persuasive Team Leader Travel Desk with a solid personality, fitting within a dynamic organization with a hands-on culture:

• Preferably a completed Vocational or HBO education
• Experience within the travel industry
• Available for 24 – 32 hours
• Strong leadership skills
• Result-oriented, with initiative, accuracy, precision, planning, and organizing skills
• Mastery of Dutch and English
• Decisive, flexible in approach, and methodical in work
• Able to influence, put things into perspective, and exercise patience
• Effective communication with team members and stakeholders, managing expectations
