Business Developer

As a Business Developer at Reefy, you will play a key role in driving the growth and success of our company. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and developing strategies that align with our mission of sustainable underwater construction. A deep understanding of the construction industry in the Netherlands, or a willingness to learn, is essential to effectively navigate the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities:

• Generate leads, reach out to prospective clients, and cultivate new business relationships.

Client Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company growth targets.

Collaboration and Strategy Development:

• Work closely with the engineering, ecology, and operations teams to align business development efforts with the company’s technical capabilities and ecological goals.
• Contribute to the overall business strategy, providing insights and recommendations based on client feedback and market analysis.

Understanding of the Dutch Construction Industry:

• Leverage knowledge of or demonstrate a strong willingness to learn about the construction industry in the Netherlands, including regulatory frameworks, market players, and industry best practices.
• Navigate the unique challenges and opportunities within the Dutch market to effectively position Reefy’s solutions.

Brand and Market Positioning:

• Promote Reefy’s brand and mission at industry events, conferences, and through various marketing channels.
• Stay informed about competitors and industry developments to ensure Reefy remains at the forefront of sustainable underwater construction.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the environmental, marine, or construction industries.
• Understanding of or strong willingness to learn about the construction industry in the Netherlands and abroad, including market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
• Passion for sustainability and a strong understanding of ecological principles and marine ecosystems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
