Introduction

This internship revolves around structuring the processes, tools & workflows that ensure the realization of different aspects of our commercial strategy around the globe. This does not only involve supporting the setup & maintenance of the required processes & tools, but also some exposure to the underlying commercial realities and business requirements. The day-to-day commercial aspects include supporting the Commercia Excellence team in the handling of ad hoc operational requests coming from the country teams.

The Commercial Excellence team is responsible for the formulation of our commercial strategies in the areas of product distribution, customer channels, retail & consumer pricing as well as the after-sales consumer care process. The team covers the strategy definition as well as the derivation of appropriate policies and development/change of processes & tools to support the sales organizations in the implementation and achievement of our company objectives, whilst aiming for simplification and agility.

The team is spread across multiple (mostly European) countries, but there are regular face-to-face team meetings every couple of weeks in the Amsterdam head office.

Location: Amsterdam (hybrid, 1 day at the office)

Type: Internship (thesis support can be discussed)

Duration: minimum 6 months

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Expected Start Date: ASAP

The skills and knowledge you'll bring

  • Familiar with MS Office, esp. Excel and its key functions & capabilities
  • Proficient in English
  • Basic understanding of Power Queries (or SQL) beneficial, but not mandatory
  • Basic understanding of SAP ERP beneficial, but not mandatory
  • Some background in business management, economics, or IT studies beneficial, but not required.
