Finance & Global Procurement Intern

Job Description

Join us as Finance & Global Procurement Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht starting in September 2024. In this internship, you will gain practical experience with how to create business insights and recommendations through analysis & benchmarking of procurement results on costs and cash.

Your key activities will be:

• Learn procurement controlling job: Support in daily procurement finance activities (period end close, forecasting, budgeting, improve cash position, etc.
• Work on intelligent automation project in Procurement Finance to automate finance processes and manual work of procurement finance team
• Build solid process and (Excel) model to be able to measure impact of feedstock and energy market movements on procurement results
• Create & update reports using JDE Peet’s various systems (Excel, SAP, BW, Power BI, BPC, etc.)
• Participate in activities related to buying price components, market impact on cost prices, standard cost price setting, inflation, and productivities

Qualifications

Here's what we're looking for:

• Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc (or MSc) program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English – Having some similar hands-on experience with food research activities is always a benefit.
• Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 6 months to this internship, preferably from the 9th of September to February.
• Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week (default 3 days in-office, 2 days from home), including three days in-office and one or two days remotely, ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

• Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peet's and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
• You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
