BEAT Financial Accountant

In this role you will support the BEAT team as a financial generalist, combining the tasks of an accountant, accounts receivable and accounts payable specialist. Every working day will be different, as depending on the needs of the team you will process invoices, help with monthly clothing, support with reporting, implementation of new processes and perform many more diverse tasks.

The Armada Music & BEAT Music Fund Finance Team is based in Amsterdam (HQ). We are currently a team of eight, including the CFO’s of Armada, BEAT Music Fund and Armada Publishing. As a Financial Accountant, you will be reporting to the CFO of BEAT Music Fund and working alongside the other Finance colleagues.

Your responsibilities:

• Responsible for the processing of (a limited number of) accounts payable invoices, accounts receivable invoices and bank statements.
• Help to ensure an accurate and timely month end close by preparing various workpapers, journal entries and a limited range of general ledger account reconciliations.
• Confidently communicate and coordinate with other internal departments and external parties, to obtain information, research reconciling items, and resolve issues.
• Support the income tracking process, by retrieving statements and performing brief statement analyses.
• Support the preparation of monthly internal reports, quarterly external reports and other ad hoc reports.
• Assist with the revenue accounting and reporting process. In addition, have the capacity to be able to grow into the position of potentially owning the revenue accounting and reporting process.
• Assist in the implementation of new procedures, reports and information flows to enhance the workflow at BEAT Music Fund and increase the information availability for stakeholders.
• Support overall department goals and objectives.
• Continuously drive improvements to optimize processes and support process improvement, including recommendations for training and updates to procedures.
• Work together with the other BEAT and Finance (Armada) team members.

• Minimum Education: MBO-HBO financial education
• Minimum Experience: 2 years in a finance/accounting role.
• Experienced with Accounting Systems (AccountView, Exact or Business Central is a plus).
• Experienced with Excel.
• You are very organised and structured in the way you work.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (being able to confidently speak Dutch is also a plus)
• You are energetic and proactive in your work. Knowing how to find that balance between giving it a go yourself and knowing when to ask for help.
• You have a mindset of optimisation, efficiency and continuous improvement.
