Senior Manager, Commercial & Operations

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Commercial and Operations to join in London, UK or Schiphol- Riijk JOB PURPOSE Responsibility to deliver independent guidance and reporting to the SVP and MD Commercial & Operations, with oversight from the C&O Director, in the management of company’s core FMC champions, driving key course-correcting actions and decisions. Shape selected commercial strategies (branding, proposition, go-to-market, sales channels, etc), support the in-market blueprint / solution and work with central/local teams to drive measurable improvements in customer loyalty / rNPS, higher Net Adds and/or higher ARPU per customer Drive and support the commercial/operational side of strategic programs, such as Netco/Servco separation, post-merger-integration activities or digital transformation programs. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Produce robust quantitative analyses to drive commercial insights and recommendations Manage the development of selected commercial strategies around product, service or experience: designing the proposition blueprint, the branding elements, the go2market strategy Drive the implementation of such programs around the group / all opco’s – in order to get measurable improvements in customer loyalty / rNPS, higher Net Adds and/or higher ARPU per customer Collaborate with the Director of C&O to support the SVP and MD of C&O in operating and budget reviews for core businesses and portfolio companies; providing non-recurring analytical and performance insights and ensuring follow-through on commercial and operational questions, issues and opportunities Contribute to the commercial & operations paragraphs for operating and strategic meetings where applicable and required (e.g. 360’s, ELT, COC, IC and Ventures) to support SVP and MD C&O Drive alignment and co-ordination across departments, actively ensuring Director level engagement across LG and the OpCos (finance, technology, strategy, legal and the people team) to achieve shared business objectives in the commercial/ operations domain Develop & mentor junior members in the team, actively supporting them and ensuring that they are able to produce the robust quantative analyses required for this role’s decision making and project / area leadership Stay informed about commercial, operational and technological trends and innovations relevant to the industry KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong analytical skills Strong presentation skills, excellent communicator and capable of communicating to a range of stakeholders Experience in a complex matrix and international organization Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills Service orientation, non-opiniated, consultative style Collaboration mindset, attitude and way-of-working. Hands-on mentality Ability to cope with high pressure assignments and used to meeting strict deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy Fluent in English DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES: Relevant experience in corporate strategy and commercial environments Proven track record in strategic thinking, transformation management, commercial management, operations Industry knowledge of telco, media and adjacent industries PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in economics or alike What’s in it for you?
