As a Barclays Technical Solutions Architect, you will develop the technical solutions for a business area that has true customer and colleague impact. Your contribution to architectural decisions will change their banking and working lives for the better through technical designs that are truly based on their experiences. This team services the Compliance and Financial Crime Functions within Barclays, which is a global team of c600 colleagues situated in the major location hubs globally.

What will you be doing?

Overseeing the technical design and development of ETL/Hadoop/AWS and Analytics services/components

Understanding the end-to-end architecture and process flow

Approaching word with a result-oriented mindset with ability to solve issues

Comprehending business requirements and having involvement in design discussions

Managing performance improvement & fine-tuning ETL, Hadoop and/or AWS implementations

Conducting code reviews across projects and taking responsibility for ensuring that build and code adhere to architectural and quality standards and policies

What we’re looking for

Expert in Governing Data Architecture

Proficient in Data related technologies with exposure to ETL and Data Lake on Cloud as well as Big Data platform

Experience with Data architecture standards, design patterns and reusable framework

Exposure to Security Governance and its applicability across Big Data and Cloud platforms

Skills that will help you in the role

Knowledge of ETL tools like Ab Initio will be an advantage.

Experience in mentoring and coordinating technical deliverables of data warehouse projects
