The goal of the Heat Desk is to source and manage a portfolio to deliver sustainable heat to Eneco's customers. You will work together with a team across various departments in developing a future-proof sourcing and pricing strategy that fits with regulatory developments and Eneco’s One Planet Plan.

As a Business Analyst Heat Forecasting at our Heat Desk, you will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills and knowledge. You will gain experience in sourcing and structuring new sustainable heat supply and transport agreements, enabling the development of new sustainable heat sources/storage, and finding ways to optimize the portfolio. You will also learn about the transforming district heating market and how to identify opportunities and risks and act on them. Additionally, you will develop your analytical skills by analyzing and supporting the sourcing of heat and heat transport, negotiating and structuring agreements, and managing their implementation. You will also have the opportunity to work with an experienced team and learn about contract management, (financial) optimization, energy markets and sourcing pricing strategy. This role provides a unique opportunity for professional growth and development in the field of sustainable energy.

As a Business Analyst Heat Forecasting:

You will be responsible for forecasting the heat demand and supply volumes, and making the needed data available for your analysis to the Heat Desk and other stakeholders.

  • You will develop and maintain pricing and risk models, tools, and reports using various software applications and databases.
  • You will work with various departments to ensure the quality and reliability of the data and the (forecasting) models.
  • You will contribute to the development of a future-proof sourcing and pricing strategy that fits with the regulatory developments and Eneco's One Planet Plan.
  • You will support on further optimising and implementing pricing and risk processes, such as position management and calculating risk premia
  • You will monitor and report on the performance and profitability of the heat portfolio
  • Collaborate with other departments within Eneco Energy trade and intensively with our Heat business, but also with departments such as sales, IT and finance, to ensure consistent and accurate pricing and risk management across the Heat organization
  • A master's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, forecasting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform (complex) analyses.
  • Knowledge of the district heating market and its transformation is a nice to have.
  • Experience in data management
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and support in projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
