As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are seeking an intern who can help us streamline our reporting processes and enhance our understanding of the Return on Investment (ROI) on software development.

The IT landscape of PFE consists of several applications to support business functions and processes. Investments are made in the development of these applications to improve efficiency, productivity, processes, and ultimately drive business growth and success.

The goal of this internship is to deliver a reporting method that continuously monitors and evaluates results of the software development (for example system enhancements or new functionalities), IT budget and business goals.

You can use various methods and tools to measure the outcomes, benefits, and value,

such as;

• Post-implementation review (PIR);
• Benefit realization analysis (BRM);
• Or value stream mapping (VSM).

Your profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern with the following skill set;

• Training Level: Bachelor / Master;
• Education: Information technology training (e.g., functional management, application management), software engineering or business/business economics, knowledge of and/or experience/affinity with Power BI, Tableau or other, as well as English knowledge and clear formulation of texts in English;
• Ability to deliver work with high accuracy;
• Language skills: English (written and verbal) and preferably Dutch;
• Competencies: Communication skills, teamwork skills, organisational skills, time management, problem solving.

Department

PACCAR Financial Europe (PFE) provides financial services to DAF dealers and end customers to support the sales of DAF trucks. PFE is part of the worldwide PACCAR Financial organisation, has its headquarters in Eindhoven at the DAF premises and is active in a large number of European countries with its own sales offices and used trucks centres.

The PFE Information Technology department is responsible for the development, configuration, testing and deployment of innovative IT-solutions, management of these systems during their lifecycle and support of the users of these systems. PFE-IT consists of appr. 30 fte. of which 20 are internal and works according to the agile framework. Most of the systems are subject to SOx-regulations.

PFE contains 4 lines of business areas: Wholesale Financing to DAF-dealers, Retail Financing to End Customers, Short Term Leasing and Asset Management & Used Trucks Remarketing. The Retail Financing systems landscape has been renewed recently and a new state-of-the-art systems landscape for Asset Mgt. & Used Trucks Remarketing is currently under development as part of a large IT-project. Other projects are already planned.
