Product Design Intern

Right now we’re looking for a Product Design Intern who will be a part of our Product Design team. You will work together with other designers, UX writers, and are part of a cross-functional product team with engineers and a product manager.

What you can expect from the work

• You'll help bring product ideas to life with research, mockups, user flows and prototypes;

• You will work together with other designers, and are part of a cross-functional product team with engineers and a product manager. We have multiple teams focussing on specific product domains. During the internship you will participate in different product teams so you’ll get to learn all about our product!

• You will take part in projects and will join the UX team in taking a concept from ideation to delivery and implementation;

• You will participate in user testing to validate the designs and ideas before and after shipping;

• You contribute to the overall design process and make sure everything is organised and streamlined;

• You will work and contribute to our design system;

• Every other week we have 'Discovery Day', where everyone can work on a project they pick. It's a great way to explore new ideas or learn new things;

• Once a month the Product team dedicates a day to “Thrive” where we choose topics of growth to work together as a team.

  About you

  • You have some experience with product design from your education and/ or previous internships;

  • You are enrolled in a college or university program, such as Product or UI/ UX design – preferably you’re further along with your studies, in the second half or so rather than just starting out;

  • You have some working knowledge / experience with Figma;

  • Empathy, an appreciation for humor, and an affinity with the events scene;

  • You're based in or near Amsterdam and you're available for 24 - 32 hours per week on short notice.

    What you’ll get out of it

    Depending on your ambition, it can vary from just having hands-on design experience and trying out something new, to making the first steps in your future design career!

    This is a paid, part-time internship, with remuneration for the role set at 500 EUR per month (based on 40 hours per week). Keep in mind we’re flexible with your schedule and more than happy to collaborate with you when you’re available and not busy with classes, research or writing.

    By the end of the internship, you’ll have an understanding of the ins and outs of Product Design as a craft, how it works within TicketSwap, learn about user research, how to work in cross functional teams, give and receive feedback.
