As Risk Manager Regulatory Framework you will work on some of the most urgent issues for the bank: regulatory change. Do you want to play an active role in this dynamic changing environment? Financial regulations are constantly evolving and shape the financial services landscape significantly. It is crucial for Rabobank to stay on top of these regulatory changes, to effectively and efficiently manage these changes in the Netherlands and abroad, by having a strategic and forward-looking approach and assess the impact of proposed regulations on the operations of Rabobank and our clients. The Regulatory Framework Team owns the Regulatory Change & Adherence (RC&A) framework, the supporting tools and Policy document management. The team is in charge of distributing the regulatory initiatives set by regulators, monitoring the RC&A process and regulatory reporting. Key Responsibilities: Support and improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency of regulatory implementations. Improve and simplify Policy document Management. Maintain an ongoing internal dialogue and raise awareness regarding regulations: maintain an effective network with relevant regulatory owners, policy document owners, regulatory experts and other stakeholders. Use this network to develop a comprehensive and timely understanding of emerging changes in regulatory focus. Maintain a deep understanding of the regulatory environment and regulatory developments, both in the European Union and in other key jurisdictions; and use this understanding to identify potential challenges and opportunities for Rabobank's businesses. Support Regulatory Implementation teams in applying the RC&A process. Report on regulatory implementations. You and your job As Risk Manager Regulatory Framework, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, coordinating and delivering on a number of regulatory topics to ensure timely and full implementation of current and future regulations.. The position involves working with risk specialists from other CRO departments, especially Operational Risk and Compliance and representatives from Rabobank’s business lines, subsidiaries, regions, but also Group Functions like Finance, Legal and Sustainability, Specialist knowledge is welcome, a broad interest in regulations and how they relate to the core activities of the bank, is essential. Practical Examples Have conversations with implementation owners and regulatory owners (senior managers of the bank) about roles, responsibilities and expectations of the RC&A framework; Monitor the effectiveness of the RC&A process; Deliver tools for the ‘lineage’ between new regulations, policies of the bank and the implementation of the regulatory requirements in the organization; Or become the secretary of the Regulatory Oversight Committee and support the secretary of Group Risk Management Committee, both senior risk management committees of the bank; Or become specialist in regulatory adherence reporting. Experience or interest in improving the reporting process by Power BI tools is a plus; PDM coordinator: gatekeeper of the Policy House Portal, improve policy document management, monitor and report on policy management related KPI’s. Regulatory & Risk Framework team The Regulatory & Risk Framework team is responsible for regulatory adherence, risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification, risk appetite, risk reporting. We are a team with people that have broad banking and overarching risk management experience and we will assign responsibilities to individuals in the team based on personal interests, experience and availability. You and your talent Legal, Finance or Economics master degree, or equivalent Hands-on experience with the regulatory environment of an international bank Risk management experience Strong stakeholder management skills Project management skills are a plus Excellent command of both the Dutch and English language This is what we offer you A salary in the range between €4.292,40 and €7.307,58 (Scale 9 or 10 of the Rabobank CLA, depending on role and experience).
