IT Buyer UK&I

BAM is recruiting an IT Buyer to join the team and based out of any of UK and Ireland office locations.

Your mission

As an IT Buyer at BAM, you are responsible for delivering a more strategic and integrated approach to the procurement of BAM's IT software and services. In this role, you bring synergy and leverage the scale and expertise within our business units. Your role is varied and dynamic. With your network and knowledge, you act as a trusted advisor and challenger for IT and the business. Your focus will be on IT procurement for our entities in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In this new and challenging position, the focus is on the following activities:

• Independently executing tactical (non-operational) procurement projects with the aim of selecting the right supplier(s) for BAM.
• Managing and overseeing the supplier selection process and leading the project team involved.
• Initiating and drafting contracts, evaluating and negotiating license and contract terms.
• Commercial contract management of IT (framework) contracts: you are responsible for proactive contract management regarding renewal, commercial use, termination, product lifecycle management, and evaluation of additional offers.
• Acting as a sparring partner for your IT and Business colleagues (stakeholders).

• Completed bachelor's or master's degree;
• (Minimum) 1 to 3 years of experience as a Buyer (IT);
• Knowledge of legal aspects related to (IT) procurement;
• A strong conversationalist at all levels with excellent communication skills, including proficiency in the English language.
