We are looking for a Agro Health&Safety and Sustainability Engineer to join our Agro team based in Suadiye/Kocaeli. The individual directly report to HSE Supervisor .

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all Agro warehouses H&S managing where are Manisa,Suadiye,Nevşehir,Tarsus,Niğde and Manisa Backend.
• Leading 4 contractor/3rd party health&safety executives.
• Health and safety responsibilities for 80 FLT employee and approximately 200 contractor employees.
• Managing the 50.000 $ health and safety capex budget.
• Implement H&S Strategy for AGRO and define main risk areas in the light of regional imperatives.
• Manage budget and man-hour for H&S initiatives.
• Make risk assessments and H&S plans to handle these risks and develop a capital plan to mitigate it
• Following the actions which are taken about near misses
• Organising the monthly site visit and audits for all warehouses
• Cooperate with AGRO management & employees to fulfill H&S standards.
• Cooperate with HR department for awareness building
• Cooperate with health and safety executives for site audits and actions
• Establish requirements and provide guidance in PPE management
• Folllowing the safety actions with maintenance team
• Cooperate with medical doctor related health issues about warehouses working conditions
• Remarkable reduction in lost work-day accident cases and collisions
• Identify training requirements, develop and give trainings on H&S topics
• Visible H&S schemes and applications in AGRO sites
• Design and application of AGRO operational scorecards
• Work to eliminate deviations from standards.
• Leading all kinds of Safety committees on AGRO.
• Track and report H&S and Sustainability KPI’s
• Be a natural member of the monthly H&S committee in Turkey
• Sustainable agriculture focuses on producing long-term crops while having effects on the environment.
• Follow-up of regenerative agriculture practices in the field
• Supporting the supplier about carbon reduction solution and reporting in carbon emission accounts
• Follow-up of projects in the field within the scope of positive agriculture
• Providing Supplier training within the scope of positive agriculture
• Follow-up of sustainable agriculture audits with a consultancy company
• Focus on in an acceptable technology management under the prevailing socio-economic infrastructure.
• Preparation and follow-up of budget distribution within the scope of positive agriculture
• Working closely with Agro field teams to monitore supplier practices
• Aiming to grow our food in a way that regenerates land, ecosystems, and farming communities.
• Sustainable source Target: %100 to 2030
• Water Use Efficiency Target %15; 2015 to 2025
• Regenerative Agriculture Target: %100 to 2030
• Carbon Reduction: %40 to 2030

Qualifications

• University degree (Agriculture or Food or Environment Engineering)
• Experience in budget management
• Min. C Health&Safety Certificate
• English & Turkish fluency

• Ability to coordinate and organize design projects and personnel.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and employ effective time management skills
