Senior .NET Engineer

As a .NET Azure engineer you will be at that starting point together with the best colleagues from the ALM IT industry. You will take a leading role in the team to advice on technical solutions, guide your team members and you develop the technically most challenging items yourself. You will work in a multidisciplinary squad with other developers, testers, business analysts and a scrum master and the product owner.

You and your job

We are looking for a very experienced .NET engineer in one of our Agile DevOps Squads. Specifically we're looking for a passionate problem-solver with an affinity for Risk and IT who can work independently on specific work items. You get energy in solving complex problems. You will work with large datasets fully in the Microsoft Azure technology stack. You bring in new ideas to improve how we work. You automate wherever you can. You want to set standards and ensure all developers follow them. You like to discuss challenges and work with different team members in achieving the goals.

Customer focus and collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our ALM IT team brings talented people together to determine the way forward in the ALM domain. With you as a .NET Engineer, the team will consist of 85 diverse colleagues in a variety of roles, including: business analysts, developers, solution architects, and operations engineers.

You and your talent

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Dutch and English is mandatory.
• Education:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT.​
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in .NET on the Azure stack and the ability to explain features at both beginner and advanced levels and engage in discussions with peers.
• Quality Practices: Strong focus on quality practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and the ability to guide team members in applying TDD effectively.
• Process Improvement: Experience in improving Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes within the team.​
• Collaboration: Comfortable discussing technical improvements with product owners and ensuring their implementation in sprints.
• Code Management: Familiarity with code management practices in development squads (teams of more than 3 persons).
• Industry Experience: Previous experience in Banking or Finance Back Office environments.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Azure Stack

• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD, YAML and Azure CLI
• Experience with IAAS, PAAS environments
• Azure App Service, Functions, Key Vault, Entra Id (formerly aka Azure Active Directory)

.NET

• Entity Framework
• Web API’s / Swagger / Rest
• OAuth / Azure App Registrations
• Unit testing / TDD / Mocking Frameworks

This is what we offer you

• a gross monthly salary between € 4.068,- and € 5.811,- (scale 9/10 depending on knowledge, skills and experience, 36 hours).
• 13th month and holiday pay: the holiday allowance and annual allowance will usually be paid out in 12 equal monthly instalments. Employees have the option once a year to opt for the holiday allowance to be paid out in May and the annual allowance in December.
• an Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions, or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out.
• an annual personal development/training budget of € 1.400,-

• Attractive pension fund with a personal contribution of only 5.5%. Rabobank will contribute 21.5%.

This is a selection of the terms of employment for a .NET Engineer based on a 36-hour working week (40 hours possible).
