Product Owner Finance Applications

What you do as Product Finance Applications Owner:

Within the Enterprise Automation department, you will find 5 different portfolio groups. These groups are the driving force in automating our enterprise business processes using a variety of applications and technologies.

Together we build strong roadmaps for enterprise business applications to enhance operations and bring value to our users. As the Product Owner Finance Applications, you are a crucial part of the hard-working and motivated multidisciplinary Enterprise Automation team.

You will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our financial applications. Your primary focus will be ensuring their optimal functionality and seamless integration with other systems. This position requires expertise in financial applications, and effective collaboration with various stakeholders.

Collaboration and Innovation:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including finance, IT, and business units) to gather requirements, analyse needs, and propose innovative solutions, whilst optimizing financial processes to achieve maximum business value.

ERP Landscape Improvement:

• Participate in projects aimed at enhancing our processes and ERP landscape.
• Lead projects for Enterprise Business Application improvements or introducing new solutions into our portfolio.

Enhancements, Integrations and Upgrades:

• You are responsible with the team of financial application experts to develop and implement enhancements and upgrades to our financial applications. Expect to also get hands-on in the applications.
• You stay informed about industry trends and best practices to keep our systems up to date.
• Take ownership of the portfolio backlog. Align with stakeholders during sprint planning and proactively remove impediments for the various Product Owners.
• Translate questions and wishes into suitable solutions within our ERP landscape and organization.
• Oversee the seamless integration of financial applications with other business systems. Ensuring accurate data flow and alignment between them.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

• Monitor financial applications and promptly address any technical issues. Work closely with the internal IT teams and our vendors to resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of financial applications. Identify potential risks, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and enhance overall system performance.

What you bring

• You have knowledge of Unit4 ERP or equivalent ERP application.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as ERP product owner.
• Experience in requirements analysis, functional & technical design, testing, development, and working in an agile environment.
• Curious and proactive. You are flexible and like complex situations.
• Your problem-solving and analytical skills are excellent. You have a structured way of working and are striving for improvements continuously.
• You are self-organizing and take ownership of your work and the applications and challenges you are responsible for.
• You are curious to see how things work and drive to see how it can be done better.
• You have strong communication skills and fluent knowledge of the English language.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in preferably Business Administration or Information Technology.
