What is it like to work for us?

As an intern for Global Marketing you’ll work for The Jelly Bean Factory® and our global candy brands Malaco and Red Band. You will work in our Global marketing department where, from day 1, you will be introduced to the various facets needed to build a strong FMCG brand.

With sales in over 50 markets, The Jelly Bean Factory® is one of the few truly global brands owned by Cloetta.

Who are we?

Founded in 1862, we are well-known for our candy, chocolate, nuts, fudge, nougat, pastilles, chewing gum and pick and mix concepts. A leading confectionery company in Western Europe. What can you expect from the internship?

As a Global Marketing intern for our candy brands, you will work together with the Global Brand Manager of The Jelly Bean Factory® and the Global Manager Candy. Your job will be to help build our brand identity and positioning globally, while supporting the local markets with their needs and questions. Unlike a local marketing role, this internship will require you to have more of a birds view of the brand from a central point of view, safeguarding our brand positioning and strategy while also understanding the local dynamics of our main markets and coming up with tailored local support that will suit their various local dynamics.

Activities you will have as a Global Marketing Intern include:

  • Supporting the Global Brand Managers in developing marketing materials and campaigns and setting up activation plans
  • Briefing and guiding creative agencies for making online videos, product photos, pack shots, lifestyle images and/or social media posts
  • Helping to set up and roll out a strong E-commerce and Q-commerce strategy
  • Doing consumer research
  • Analyzing brand, product & campaign performance
  • Helping to develop new products and formats
  • Developing and approving artworks (packaging)
  • Organizing (trade) events & making trade presentations
  • Co-managing our global website and social media handles
  • Providing internal presentations, market updates and other communications
  • Supporting the local markets with guidelines, content, and questions they have

In short, you will get the opportunity to work as a full member in a professional and all-round team, where the work is very diverse and varied and you will never be bored for a day!

This internship will be for 32-40 hours per week, for a period of at least around 6 months, from September 2024. You will have the opportunity to work at our new office in the center of Breda, as well as from home. Preference for 4 days per week on internship activities. Remaining time can be spent to do a research assignment at Cloetta, if required by your university.

For this international marketing internship, we are looking for someone who meets the following profile:

  • HBO or University thinking level, e.g. with a focus on (business) economics, marketing or business administration
  • Enthusiastic and motivated with a passion for marketing and the consumer
  • Independent, pro-active, and not afraid of responsibility
  • Analytical skills
  • Team player, social and solution-oriented
  • Speaks and writes English fluently (Dutch is not a must)
  • Affinity with marketing and FMCG
