To realize our ambition to further reduce the emission footprint of Damen products, multiple technologies are required depending on the type of vessel, its operation and the level of autonomy.

DAMEN SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS:

DAMEN Sustainable solutions is a new company within the DAMEN group. It is the designer and manufacturer of the DAMEN Emission reductions systems. With these systems NOx and particles emissions of Marine combustion engine are reduced significantly. DAMEN has been designing, testing and delivering these systems from 2016. Now it is time to further expand business on new builds, services, repair and retrofit markets and to take the next step with this company.

THE ROLE

As a project Engineer you are part of multidisciplinary team consisting of Sales, Technology Specialists, Engineering, Procurement & logistics up to commissioning and services. Your role is differs, from supporting sales to create a proposal for new builds, retrofit or service jobs in which you have direct communication with the customer. Together with the project coordinator you are responsible of the project coordination of new builds, retrofit, development projects and service & commissioning jobs. Your task is to deliver on time, according quality standards and within budget.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Project coordination (Quality, Cost Time)
• Preparation of projects (planning, people, material)
• Communication with customer, end users
• Proposal support of Sales

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, it is important that you have an enthusiastic, open, communicative and proactive personality. You enjoy to contribute to your team by using your project management qualities and to keep a clear overview at all times. Last but not least, your eagerness to keep your skills and knowledge up to date makes you a great product owner of new technology.

In this role you bring the following:

• A higher vocational degree in mechanical / shipbuilding engineering or commensurate experience/capacities;
• Several years of work experience in the shipbuilding or aftertreatment sector;
• Project management qualities and capability of maintaining a clear overview
• Experience integrating marine installations with third parties;
• Experience with the regulations and inspection processes of classification agencies;
• Good command of both English and Dutch, both written and spoken;
• Sufficient experience with various MS Office programmes.
