Community Manager and Radio Coordinator

As Community Manager & Radio Coordinatorfor A State of Trance you will be responsible for 2 key elements in the team. You will be working closely with the Radio squad on all activities related to the weekly radio show and closely with the Armada Music squad on all activities relating to the social media placements for A State of Trance.

You are the innovative spider in the web taking the lead, with an eye for detail, and great care concerning execution of your responsibilities in programming the radio show and all content placements on social media platforms for A State of Trance.

About the job:

COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT

For Social Media platforms you will

• Create and schedule placements at the right time, with the right tone of voice and identity;
• Grow the audience, promote artists, releases and A State of Trance as a whole;
• Be responsible for collecting and creation of content with the help of content producers;
• Point of contact with various stakeholders and departments (i.e. artists, managers, marketing, creative, ALDA);
• Always be on the lookout for the best new features and content best practices;

2. For Livestreaming platforms you are

Able to connect the target group managing the online community through Discord, YouTube, Twitch and other livestreaming platforms; also outside of office hours;

3. Other communications and responsibilities

• Create and send a weekly newsletter and update the website;
• Create reports of campaigns, engagement, growth and always looking to optimize;
• Keep track of new social media tools and everything that’s happening in the world of social media and the music / dance industry.

RADIO COORDINATION

4. For Regular episodes you will handle

• Weekly planning, programming & coordination of the radio show;
• Set-up guest mixers and record content + possible studio sessions;
• Hosting the studio guest and fans during recording day;
• Manage the email-box and source ideas and stories;
• Gather shout-out videos + liners;
• Manage timely preparation and delivery of content/assets by creative team;
• Manage and program the 24/7 channel;

5. For Special episodes you will

• Prepare content for the special;
• Initiate thematic specials and Studio decoration;
• Set up Tune Of The Year voting and create awards or related materials;
• Be the point of contact with external parties;

6. For the ASOT Podcast you will

• Prepare fan questions via social media;
• Distribute Podcast on relevant platforms.

• You acquired a relevant degree, at least ‘HBO’ (Dutch standard) or bachelor’s degree;
• You have at least 2-3 years of experience in Radio Coordination and Social media ;
• You are a Trance lover and knowledge of the music industry and affinity with electronic music is required;
• You have basic knowledge of creating content with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere;
• You love Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Facebook and are always aware of social trends;
• You are proactive, punctual and self-reliant;
• You’re up for a challenge and like dynamic working environments;
• You are used to working with strict deadlines and know how to prioritize;
• You are well versed in the English language, both written and spoken;
• You live in or near Amsterdam.
